Tenure-Track Faculty Position in the International Graduate Program of Marine Science and Technology, National Sun Yat-sen University, Taiwan
The International Graduate Program of Marine Science and Technology at National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU), Kaohsiung, Taiwan, invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the Assistant Professor level or higher. We are specifically interested in candidates whose research areas are in Marine & Coastal Engineering, Marine Environmental Conservation, or Marine Environmental Planning & Management. Preference will be given to applicants whose research focuses on mitigating and adaption to the impacts of global climate change in the coastal zone. Successful candidates will demonstrate the capabilities of obtaining extramural research funding and teaching elective and required undergraduate and graduate courses. The university requires each new faculty member to lecture at least a course in English per semester. This position is a joint appointment of the International Graduate Program of Marine Science and Technology and the Department of Marine Environment and Engineering.
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. degree and have post-doctoral research experience. Publications of at least three research papers (as first author or corresponding author) in the SCIE journals are required. The electronic application file should include a cover letter, CV, a copy of doctoral degree diploma, transcripts of master’s and doctoral programs, statements of teaching interests and research plans, and a designated representative paper published within the last five years, three recommendation letters, contacts of five REFERENCE persons (eg. teachers, colleague, classmates, friends, or students). Additionally, the application must include a video made in WMV or MP4 format, with a resolution 1280×720 pixels, deposited in Dropbox or Google Drive. This video should cover the following sections.

(2) Sample teaching (5min)：Select a subject related to your expertize.
(3) Short talk (5min)：Discuss your research and its significance, as well as your plan to collaborate with our current colleagues in the Dept of Marine Environment and Engineering.
