Assistant professor Position or higher in Offshore Wind Power, Atmosphere, Maritime Engineering
The Department of Marine Environment and Engineering at National Sun Yat-sen University, Kaohsiung, Taiwan invites applications for a full-time Assistant professor or higher. Applicants with expertise related to Offshore Wind Power, Atmosphere, Maritime Engineering are especially encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will be required to develop external research funds and offer excellent teaching in the introductory, advanced-level undergraduate and graduate courses, and need to support required classes. Besides, the applicant should have ability to teach in English (Required to teach at least an EMI (English class as a Medium of Instruction) course each semester for a new faculty recruited after August 1, 2022). Academic and administrative services to the department and university are also expected.
Applicants are expected to have a Ph.D. degree in Science, Engineering or a related field. Post-doctoral experience is highly desirable. Publication of at least two papers (first author or corresponding author) within past 5 years in the SCIE journals of related research field is required. An electronic application file should include a cover letter, cv, statements of teaching and research interests, a copy of diploma of doctoral degree and transcripts of master’s and doctoral degrees, a publication list and one representative paper within the past five years, three recommendation letters, five REFERENCE persons (eg. teachers, colleagues, classmates, friends and students) with Email and cell phone, and the courses plan to offer.
