2015 the Environment Cup
On March 28, 2015 the Environment Cup being held in Taichung. The Environment Cup is an annual large-scale event, including basketball, volleyball, badminton, softball and table tennis. Those participants are mainly from the department of Environment and Science in Taiwan. All of them were representing for their own department. The Environment Cup not only can make all the players demonstrate their result of practicing for a year but also the good opportunities for students to know the seniors in related fields. How important the game is! The Department of Marine Environment and Engineering definitely need to join this meaningful activity.
It was said that our basketball team is the best. In the game of the first day, our basketball team won the first place for two games, and went into the round of 16 successfully. To our disappointed, in the game of the second day, we lost the game. Though we didn’t win the game in the end, we had learned many things── experiences, strategies and the importance of cooperation.
Speaking of volleyball, our students made more progress than last year. The games between boys were extremely fierce. We all felt happy that our boys had such excellent performance and looked forward that they will be better next year. Speaking of the girls’ volleyball, it was difficult for us to perform well because our department has few girls. We sincerely invited the girls who are good at playing volleyballs join us next year.
Our department’s team of badmintons won the first place last year. All of us were looked forward that they could break the record this year. Sad to say, they didn’t perform well this year. However, they will keep practicing. Wish that they could have better performance next year.
The Department of Marine Environment and Engineering in National Sun Yat-sen University features as volleyball. They perform well and be awarded every year. However, they have the same disappointing situation as badminton team. They didn’t win the game. Despite of their failure, they didn’t give up. They decided to fight back and also find their honor back next year.
Our department’s table tennis team must be the excellent team this year. Though table tennis seems easier than any other exercise. In reality, it wasn’t as easy as we imagine. It’s hard to have good performance and train their skills. You need to have best situation of wisdom and physical strength. Although our table tennis team didn’t perform well in last few years, they keep on doing their best. They finally won the third place this year and won the cup for National Sun Yat-sen University. After our competitions, many juniors eager to practice with us, trying to make efforts for the next year’s Environment Cup.
Each game has laughter, tears. No matter you win or lose the game is not the most important. The most important thing is that we can learn many precious experiences. What’s more, we can create lovely relationship between us. These memories in university are the most valuable.
